Section 71
To marry, not to make

(1) No one shall marry or cause to marry a man or a woman who is not in a condition to marry according to section 70.
(2) No person shall forcefully marry or cause to be married any man or woman of any of the following conditions:-
(a) having human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or hepatitis B in the body or suffering from a severe incurable disease of similar nature,
(b) has been proved to be sterile, impotent or incapable of producing children,
(c) totally unable to speak or hear, totally blind or leprous,
(d) not being at the address,
(e) Married,
(f) being pregnant,
(g) Convicted by a court of law on a criminal charge involving moral turpitude.
(3) According to sub-section (2), a person who is aggrieved because of an arranged marriage may annul such marriage and claim reasonable compensation from the person who entered into an arranged marriage.
